In the early morning hours of 3/14/2011, Mason City Police received and investigated a report of a kidnapping that had just occurred within the City limits of Mason City. Upon further investigation, Mason City police officers determined that Demetrius Flores (23) of Mason City was the suspect in the incident.|
In the early morning hours of 3/14/2011, Mason City Police received and investigated a report of a kidnapping that had just occurred within the City limits of Mason City. Upon further investigation, Mason City police officers determined that Demetrius Flores (23) of Mason City was the suspect in the incident.
Mason City police have not been able to locate Flores wince the incident occurred. An arrest warrant has been issued for Flores for the incident.
Flores is being charged with 2nd degree kidnapping (class B felony) and two counts of aggravated domestic assault (aggravated misdemeanors).
The victim’s name in the incident will remain anonymous at this time due to safety concerns for the victim. The victim from the incident received minor injuries. The victim was treated and released from North Iowa Mercy Health Center following the incident.
