An attorney for former North Iowa Fair General Manager Wanda Kruse filed a motion for a change of venue today in Cerro Gordo County Court.
Kruse’s attorney, David Laudner filed the motion Tuesday morning. Kruse is charged with 2nd degree theft by misappropriation. The charges claim that she stole items belonging to the fairgrounds while employed there.
A source close to the case told NorthIowaToday.com that “the pre-trial publicity would make it really hard to find unbiased jurors. The motion is seeking to move the trial out of Cerro Gordo county.”
