DES MOINES – Gov. Kim Reynolds appointed Thomas Murphy on Monday as district court judge in the Judicial District 5A. Murphy will fill the judicial seat formerly held by Judge Gregory Hulse.
Murphy, of West Des Moines, received his law degree from Drake University Law School and his undergraduate degree from Marquette University. He currently serves as an attorney at Hopkins & Huebner, P.C.
Judicial District 5A includes Jasper, Marion, Warren, Madison, Dallas and Guthrie counties.
