WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald J. Trump is expected this week to end a controversial program called DACA, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, and has triggered liberal anger before the announcement is even made.
Conservative elected leaders like Trump and Iowa Congressman Steve King have railed against DACA, which protects from deportation people who entered to the U.S. as illegal alien children. There are, reportedly, as many as 780,000 people (“dreamers”) or more in the program right now. According to a U.S. government web site on the DACA program, “On June 15, 2012, the Secretary of Homeland Security announced that certain people who came to the United States as children and meet several guidelines may request consideration of deferred action for a period of two years, subject to renewal. They are also eligible for work authorization. Deferred action is a use of prosecutorial discretion to defer removal action against an individual for a certain period of time. Deferred action does not provide lawful status.”
Trump, reportedly, will give the program – championed by former President Barack Obama – 6 more months before he pulls it.
“DACA was a free ride signed into law illegally by Obama,” Trump said Monday. “Illegal immigrants paying ZERO taxes are reaping the benefits Americans can’t.”
In reaction to the breaking news, the Anne Frank Center said President Trump’s “decision to end DACA is child abuse and one of the cruelest actions of any President in modern history. In a vicious decision President Trump will announce Tuesday, he is ending President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program that allows undocumented immigrants who arrived in the United States as children to remain. President Trump’s decision to end DACA is child abuse under the guise of public policy – and it’s a policy reversal that Republicans and Democrats alike don’t even want,” said Steven Goldstein, Executive Director of the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect. “In a Presidency already the most inhumane of modern times, this is President Trump’s most inhumane decision yet. He is inflicting pain on children, wreaking havoc on families, and throwing a grenade at immigrants who are part of our nation’s soul The President has descended even further beneath contempt.”

Giving citizenship to those in the DACA program sends the wrong message to future illegals crossing the borders. America must have laws (and now walls) to protect all of us. As unfortunate as it is, these young people should apply for citizenship just like everyone else.
It is not the American people’s fault their parents made bad decisions for their families.
To become good citizens of America these young people need to learn and respect American laws first. Applying for citizenship through the normal channels is the best way for those caught up in DACA to accomplish that!
President Trump make the right decision. The final outcome should rest with the Congress! I hope Congress makes the right one.

People think this is about children, it is not. All of them are in their twenties and some in their mid thirties. It is also not about deportation, it is about free welfare, food stamps and medicaid as well as free education. All rights that should be reserved for citizens or legal immigrants.

Their parents brought them or sent them. Sending them back will do what for this country? One thing that it will accomplish??? Just one.
