DES MOINES – The Clear Lake boys baseball team has captured another state championship after beating Carrol Kemper Catholic School today, 8-1, at Principal Park in Des Moines.
Clear Lake takes the 2A state baseball title for the second year in a row and third in the last four yeats. The Lions jumped out to a 3-0 lead at the end of the first inning and led 6-1 after 3 innings. They added another run in the fourth and fifth innings.

Do any of the readers know why they became Lions? I’d like to know. I never did hear.
They left because of the coach. He ran off all the seniors. Not a senior on the baseball team.
