Law enforcement work together to catch couple who stole credit cards from car at YMCA

MASON CITY – A couple from Minnesota allegedly stole credit cards from a vehicle parked at the Mason City YMCA Wednesday, and multiple law enforcement agencies worked together to bring them to jail to be charged soon after.

Floyd County Sheriff Rick Lynch told NIT that two of his deputies were alerted by Mason City police to watch for a vehicle of a certain description Wednesday after an incident in Mason City. Sheriff Lynch said the deputies located it in Floyd County heading west bound, “so they called Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Office and followed the vehicle into their county and provided back up for Cerro Gordo deputies, who stopped the car and placed both occupants under arrest on a long list of charges.

According to Mason City police, the problem began Wednesday afternoon, after a theft from vehicle report at the YMCA on South Monroe Avenue. Credit cards stolen during the car burglary were used at multiple Mason City locations in a short amount of time. Police began investigating and learned the suspects had arrest warrant from St. Paul, MN to Des Moines area. Multiple law enforcement agencies began looking for the suspects, believed to be in the North Iowa area.

On April 24 at 8:30 pm, a Floyd County deputy spotted the suspect van heading into Cerro Gordo County. Cerro Gordo deputies and Mason City police responded and the two occupants were arrested by deputies.

Candice Marie Albondante, age 31 of Crystal, MN, was arrested on multiple charges from Mason City police and Cerro Gordo county, including multiple forgery charges for the use of stolen credit cards in Mason City from the car burglary including burglary, forgery and theft as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and parole violations out of Minnesota.

Joseph Mario Cady, age 33 of Crystal, MN, was arrested for no drivers license, initially, but now faces multiple charges of burglary, forgery and theft.

Now that’s funny

Just a couple of fine looking upstanding citizens. They are so mis-understood. Not to worry. Our judges will have them back on the streets in no time.

Na, they’re gonna put em in jail and let a drugger loose.

Judges in Cerro Gordo County are afraid of the criminals. That’s why Mason City is a haven for criminals. All the losers get out of jail sooner or later and back on the streets. They don’t care if they go back to the slammer. Judges won’t do anything about i.

about it.

Naw, that’s stupid logic. I don’t think you have a clue about what I’m saying. You want smaller government yet want everyone in jail. You’re no perfect angel yourself.
