The charge was filed by Mason City police in September of 2013 after being accused of stealing from Shopko. She received a deferred judgement and a year of probation. She owes Iowa courts $806.39 in fines and fees.

Joseph LaPointe was appointed at state expense as her lawyer. She faces a court hearing on January 21, 2014.
