Something is wrong when an elected official can’t respond to a citizen at a public meeting. What is this crap about not responding to a citizen until after the meeting what are they trying to hide. This council need to stand up and take control that is what the people elected you to do. Not take orders from a part-time mayor and an yes man city administrator.
Iowa Open Meetings Laws. I and every other citizen in this community has a right to know what business the Council is discussing, to attend an open and public meeting where it is being discussed, and to participate in the discussion in accordance with the rules of the meeting. When Council discusses items that are not on the agenda, they are stomping on the public’s right to open government and making it impossible for them to participate in the discussion.
Best council ever? Are you kidding? You wanted to tell them to put it where the sun don’t shine.
Too late to kiss ass now. They know exactly what they will do.

Our current city hall is just fine.
Roger Bang was promoting BS when he was Mayor. He was suggesting the taxpayers buy the Interstate Power Co. building so his buddies at Henkle could make some more money.
If the community knew how to spur development on that site they would have put our RFP’s to compete for a Business that would employ many people with higher income.
The project that is being proposed is just a money churner that may or may not be successful. If they can talk the city into free tax money, TIF, or whatever other money grab they can think of they will make money either way!
Poor, poor planning and leadership!
