Beje Clark resident accused of assault

MASON CITY – Shortly after 10 am Saturday morning, 29-year-old Kenneth Shaun Neilsen was booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail on a serious misdemeanor charge of serious assault.

Neilsen has been in Beje Clark’s residential treatment program since November as part of his sentencing in a plea bargain deal that allowed him to avoid a mandatory one year prison sentence in a third or subsequent offense domestic abuse assault case.

Court records show Neilson had twice been convicted of domestic abuse assault but was allowed to plead guilty to a lesser charge of second offense domestic abuse assault, even though he already had been convicted of second offense domestic abuse assault in 2009.

In exchange for his voluntary negotiated guilty plea he was sentenced to two years of probation with the Iowa department of Corrections, a two year suspended prison sentence, and ordered to complete a program at Beje Clark.

At this time there is no information on where the alleged assault occurred or whether this will be considered a violation of his terms of probation.

SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.

Stop crying u r all rats that’s my boy

He even looks evil. Corruption is all I can say this whole town is full of it!

sounds like most of our convicts get at least 3 or more, maybe judge weilend should play monopoly and no pass go, go directly to jail…..

This guy is dangerous. The judge will be real pleased when he hurts someone real bad or worse, kills someone because they wouldn’t put him where he belongs. He also did some time or probation for kidnapping. How many chances do you get?

Having that BG Clark Center in town sure was a good idea!

another one of judge weilends boys. judge weilend really needs to step down or be FIRED before she gets someone killed by her neglect in her judgement of cases.

i thought the clark center was for non violent criminals, but seems like there are a lot of them there that should be in prison. they are walking away from there all the time.

Yup, this system is deffinetly working, they walk off or commit the same crimes they are in trouble for. Might be time to consider a change in our legal system.

You mean like voting out the da and no retention on judges in November?

He needs HIS, a## beat !!!

This had better be a probation violation.
