MASON CITY – Lashae Brooks scored a career-high 23 points and matched her career high with 14 rebounds to lead NIACC to a 68-63 victory over Iowa Lakes Saturday in junior college women’s basketball action.
Lateeka Thompson scored 15 points for the Lady Trojans (9-8 overall, 2-2 in the ICCAC).
NIACC trailed 36-30 at the half.
Brooks (Nett Lake, Minn.) was 8 of 12 from the field and 7 of 10 from the line. Brooks’ previous career best was 22 points against the Grand View junior varsity on Nov. 16.
Myangel Johnson led Iowa Lakes (6-13, 2-4) with 18 points.
The NIACC women return to action Wednesday at Southeastern.
