State Rep. Linda Upmeyer said Sunday on her Facebook page that she met Sarah and Todd Palin.
Politico.com is reporting that “Sarah Palin dropped in Saturday at a major summer dinner hosted by one of Iowa’s top GOP businessmen, a source in attendance at the event says.
“The former Alaska governor paid a visit to the get-together hosted by wealthy energy executive Bruce Rastetter, mingling with a crowd of upwards of 750 people.”
Politico.com also reported that “Gov. Terry Branstad and Reps. Tom Latham and Steve King were present.”
The dinner was held in Hubbard, Iowa at the home of Bruce Rastetter, a powerful Republican and a member of the Iowa Board of Regents. The Waterloo Courier has called Rastetter a “hog, ethanol baron” and a “Republican kingmaker.”

Oh I almost forgot – to be certified as a nurse practitioner you need to sit for a national exam that requires quite a bit of knowledge. So Linda Upmeyer had a high level job in the cardiac dept so I think she has a few brains folks. Just sayin.
Book smarts doesn’t give you brains. And she doesn’t have any. She’s too busy kissing up to all the people she thinks are famous – a real ladder climber. She has no grasp on the actual needs of the state. She ought to go back to bandaids if that’s what she understands.

I have the utmost respect for anyone in the medical field – including nurse practitioners. That is not what I’m talking about, as you well know.

This is the kind of intelligence we’re dealing with here on NIT. I will tell you right now, far more Democrats (some of them English teachers, many others who teach other subjects) have a very good mastery of the English language. Did you know this will get you much farther than any other aptitude/talent you may have if you’re looking for employment?
