The following offender has escaped from a residential work release facility. The offender was transferred to this facility after being granted a work release by the Iowa Board of Parole. Work Release is a minimum security setting which allows offenders an opportunity to gradually adjust to the transition between prison and the community.

DATE OF ESCAPE: July 28, 2012
COMMENTS: Sims was placed on escape status at 4:40 am after failing to return to the facility as scheduled. Sims was admitted to work release on February 6, 2012. This sentence began on May 7, 2009. Information as to Sims whereabouts should be reported to the Cedar Rapids Police Department or Linn County Sheriff’s Department.
Yet according to NIM three have escaped from Mason City’s Beje Clark but Beje keeps that hush hush cause it happens weekly.
Mason City would be a good place to hide. Even if he is caught he could post bail. Get out and beat up some more welfare mamas.
