MASON CITY – There will be a flea market held bright and early Saturday morning in downtown Mason City.
The market will be held from 6 AM to 6 PM at the corner of 4th Street and North Federal Avenue. The entire parking lot is available for use.
“You can expect a pretty good variety of items for sale, a variety of vendors who will be set up in the parking lot,” said Roxie Owens, owner of Bumbleberry Bakery and the event’s organizer. “If anyone wants to clean out their garage or basement and come set up,” they are more than welcome to do so, she said.

There will be plenty of food available as well, from breakfast to lunch items, sold throughout the day. “We have bum dogs, an all-natural hot dog with a sloppy sauce on top,” Roxie said.
To inquire about setting up a booth to sell your items, you may call (641) 530-0255. The cost is $10.

Three vendors showed up and none of them made enough to get their $10.00 disply cost back.
Did anybody make it to this? Was there a good turn out? I hope so. It wasn’t possible for us to go this time so I hope that the flea market might be a regular thing.
Be a good way for people to clean out some things they don’t wan’t and for others to find new treasure.
Hope it was a success!
Sounds like fun, I’ll be there!
Good idea Roxie, hope you have a good turnout…
