These signs can be found throughout the city of Osage, where a movement is underway to save the Mitchell County Courthouse. It was said that it would be cheaper to tear the current courthouse down and build a new one than to refurbish the the existing.

I have to agree with the people who want the present courthouse, with all it defficencies and inadequacies, to be saved and I would propose that all these persons get together and “buy” the building from the city/county and spend their monies taking ownership of it and it’s upkeep…and the more reasonable people go ahead and vote to build a new one…one better serving the people and the next hundred years…everybody wins!
