Mason City youngsters earn trip to compete at Cheerleading Nationals

MASON CITY – A pair of Mason City cheerleaders have earned a trip to compete at Cheerleading Nationals next year.

Two Mason City youths, Brooklyn Arndt and Greta Lewerke, will be competing at Varsity All Star D2 Summit National Championships. The National Competition is held at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports in May. The two girls are team members on United All Stars ICE. ICE is a senior level team from United All Stars in Ft. Dodge, IA. The team competed at Nations Choice Holiday Classic in Dekalb, IL over the weekend of Dec. 2nd & 3rd. ICE won a 1st place championship and their scores were high enough to earn a full paid bid to compete at the Varsity National Championships.

Team ICE will next compete Feb. 16th-18th, 2018 in Las Vegas, NV. Parents are Chad and Janna Arndt, and Kevin and Becky Lewereke.

The team is coached by Mindy Debaun and Shannon Mckennie.

You clowns are missing the point of the article. It is about two young ladies succeeding in their efforts. They should be recognized for their achievement.
