Mason City man sent to prison for felony theft

MASON CITY – A Mason City man has been sentenced to prison for a theft last March.

On Friday, March 10, 2017, at about 11:01 AM, officers executed a search warrant at 95 Oak Run Drive in Mason City. During the search warrant, officers arrested the resident, 28-year-old Mitch L. Buesing for felony second-degree possession of stolen property. He was also charged with felony first-degree theft for a crime he committed in September of 2016.

Bussing pled guilty in September to second-degree theft for the March 10 crime and was sentenced to up to 5 years in prison. He also pled guilty to felony first-degree theft in October and was given a 10-year prison sentence.
