MASON CITY – Mason City police say “VOTE YES” signs are missing – and the search is on for the possible culprits.
Apparently within the last 24 hours, Mason City police say that “several Vote Yes signs came up missing from the yards of local residents.”
Police say they “hope that residents will support the political process by being respectful of other’s opinions and property. Support your favorite candidates and your position on the River City Renaissance Project by voting on Tuesday, not by engaging in activity that can be criminal.”
NIT has also received numerous complaints of “VOTE YES” signs placed illegally in city boulevards and other locations. It doesn’t appear police were called about those transgressions, however.
Police ask residents with any information about the location or disappearance of the signs to call them at 641-421-3636.
They’ve been found in Clear Lake! LOL Just can’t stay out of our business.

Checking in from Dallas, TX. We voted no before we moved just to take a parting shot at the elite that keep holding Mason City down. They really are bunch of negative folks running the city. We still own a home there so we have a vested interest too. We don’t want our property taxes going for such a hair brained scheme.
I can understand why people would be mad as hell and would remove yes signs. Those yes signs represent the disdain the Chamber and elitists have for the working folks. It will all be over soon and if the people out in the neighborhoods get out in vote the way they should this thing will get voted down big time.
