POET Biorefining offers to match cash donations to food bank

Hawkeye Harvest Food BankMASON CITY – POET Biorefining in Hanlontown is providing a Got Milk challenge grant to benefit the Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank in Mason City.

From now through August 31 the company will match up to $1,000 in cash donations to help the food bank purchase half gallons of milk to provide their clients.

The Fareway Store in Mason City has special “Got Milk” cards available for a donation of two dollars or more or donors can mail a tax deductible check to Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank.Checks should say “POET Match” in the memo line of check.

Donations are tax-deductible and can be dropped off between 9 to 11 a.m. at the food bank, 122 S. Adams in Mason City. They can also be mailed to Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank, P.O. Box 1565, Mason City, Iowa 50402-1565.
