MASON CITY – A traffic stop led to a chase and ultimately the arrest of a young man on drug charges.
During a traffic stop Thursday evening at North Federal Avenue and 9th Street, the Iowa State Patrol conducted an investigation. The subject who was stopped, 18-year-old Dontae Dejuan Williams, fled the scene. Mason City police and Cerro Gordo deputies were called to assist in locating Williams, who was eventually found and arrested on possession of narcotics.
Williams is being held in the Cerro Gordo county jail at this time on $1,000 bond.
More imports causing problems. Hey Bookmeyer, you must be very proud of Mason City. I hope the new police chief will stand up to the council and to the dirty and lazy cops, and clean this town up.
Send ’em back to Norway or Germany. Folks from those groups are the only imports I’ve had problems with in Mason City.

Yes, I read it. As i said in a previous pos: “That’s my point. Cerro Gordo county/MC has a crime problem and it is because rehabilitation isn’t in Pals’ dictionary.” And the problem with the D Boys is that the police don’t seem to be effective in deterring them from committing crime. One only has to look at the Eleven debacle to see how the police avoid getting involved.
