RICEVILLE – A North Iowa woman charged with sexual abuse of a teen boy has entered a guilty plea to a lesser charge and awaits sentencing.
Mindy Jo Fetters, age 22 of Riceville, was charged on June 6, 2014 with sexual abuse in the third degree, indecent exposure, and assault to commit sexual abuse. The alleged unlawful activity took place on April 12, 2014 against a 15-year-old boy. The Howard County Sheriff’s Department brought the charges. She was arrested by Mitchell county deputies on June 7th and held on $10,000 bond.
Fetters pled not guilty to all charges on July 1, 2014. Her trial was scheduled for last year but has been postponed a number of times.
Court records show that Fetters has entered a guilty plea to a charge of felony D child endangerment resulting in bodily injury. She will be sentenced June 9.
