CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man was jailed after he was found passed out in a local business.
Charles City police were called to the 500 block of Freeman Street after employees at a business at that location reported a man passed out
there. Officers arrived and discovered 30-year-old James Deshun Phelon, intoxicated at that location. Phelon was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was booked into the county jail and soon released.
Phelon pleaded guilty to public intoxication on March 16. He was ordered to pay $147.75 in fines and court costs.

@itascaone-I used to be a great, clean little town with very little crime. I lived there a while back and it was a great place to raise kids. I feel sad to see it going down like Mason City is.
