MASON CITY – The Mason City school board will meet Monday at the Administration Building board room on a number of issues.

The board will set a public hearing on a proposal to sell real estate in connection to the Madison School grounds on South Jefferson Avenue.

The board will also review disclosure activities and participation in the Municipalities Continuing Disclosure Cooperative Initiative, which is intended to address potentially widespread violations of the federal securities laws by municipal issuers and underwriters of municipal securities in connection with certain representations about continuing disclosures in bond offering documents.

Following those items, the board will enter into a closed session for a mid-year conference as part of the annual  evaluation process for School Superintendent Dr. Anita Micich and then conduct a strategic planning process.

Joni – the big winner – dump the demorats

Thanks for the information Matt. I had heard nothing about this until now. Hopefully they will decide to get rid of Micich or at least cut her salary so she leaves voluntarily.

Yet you’ll undoubtedly vote for Joni Ernst and Steve King. LVS, just go off into a corner somewhere, get caught in a spider web, and wither away.

LVS do you know that it will cost more money to fire her and hire a new super then it would to keep her. if we fire her then we will have to hire a new full time super which wont want to split time with the Clear Lake district. Which means we would have to paid 100% if their salary not 60% like we are now

@Anonymous-Then take away her money by demoting her and let her quit. There are ways to get it done if they want to.

Thanks for reporting it. If it wasn’t for NIT I wouldn’t have known about it.

I’ve never seen a mid-year conference for the Superintendent’s evaluation before. It appears to me that Anita might be on the hot seat. If so, it’s about time.

Matt,

Where did the information on “a closed session for a mid-year conference as part of the annual evaluation process for School Superintendent Dr. Anita Micich…” come from. The official agenda doesn’t say anything about this. It just shows a Closed Session and nothing about the reason.
