MASON CITY – Crooks cleaned out a Cultural Crescent house last week, even taking the copper pipes.

NIT has previously been alerted to a burglary at 407 2nd Street NE that took place last weekend. The tipster said that the house had been essentially “cleaned out” and almost everything inside looted, even some articles of women’s clothing.

Police confirmed that the house was indeed burglarized.

“The burglary is believed to have been committed sometime between the 6th and the 8th” of September, police said. “Mostly electronics were taken. The person(s) also removed the copper water piping from the basement area.” Police went to the house on the morning of September 8 to help the owner fill out a report on the incident.

Anyone with info is asked to contact the MCPD at 641-421-3636.

Currently, the house has now been sold, NIT is told, to Good Shepherd, along with several other homes in the area for developments that are currently in the planning stages. The owner has moved out as the sale is finalized.

If its to be demolished what’s the big deal – who cares? Morons. Suprised some bussies from deadtraoit are’nt living there – oh that’s right they get a free housing subside unlike the laid off working stiff. This sucks a big one.

The house did not belong to anyone from Detroit, a little girl an her mother could been hurt if they was there at the time. Thankfully they was staying at another house for that weekend. They not only took copper wire they took personal items. They are movingbbecause the neighborhood is not ideal.

Just wanted to do some plummin !!
