OBIT: Lolita Ann Luchsinger

Lolita Ann Luchsinger, 68, of Mason City, Iowa, died Wednesday, January 28th, 2026 in Nora Springs, Iowa. A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post 15 in West Union on Saturday, February 7th from noon to 3:00 PM.

Lolita Ann Luchsinger, 68, of Mason City, Iowa, died Wednesday, January 28th, 2026 in Nora Springs, Iowa.

She was born November 27th, 1957 in West Union, Iowa, the daughter of Lester and Lois (nee Yauslin) Luchsinger. Lolita was raised in Clermont, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Union Sunday School (United Methodist, Clermont). Lolita graduated from Valley High School in 1976.

She spent her 48 year working career in the egg processing business, first at Heying Foods (SunnyFresh) (West Union and Panora) and then Cargill (Kitchen Solutions) (Panora, Lake Odessa, Michigan, and Mason City).

Lolita loved Rock and Roll music. Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones were her favorite. She saw them in concert 13 times and was a proud owner of a guitar autographed by the band. Lolita also loved the Green Bay Packers, of which she was a fractional owner. She proudly sported her dark green and gold as well as her cheesehead hat. Through the years she had many wonderful trips and adventures with close friends.

She is survived by her brother, Scott (Carolyn) Luchsinger of Fayette, Iowa, brother-in-law Don Bright of West Union, many nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. Preceding Lolita in death are her parents Lester and Lois (nee Yauslin) Luchsinger and sister, Linda Bright.

The family would like to thank the Schultz family for the love and support they have shown Lolita over the years. Additionally a thank you is extended to the staff at the Nora Springs Care Center.

A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post 15 in West Union on Saturday, February 7th from noon to 3:00 PM.
