MANCHESTER, IOWA – This small Iowa town is helping remove suspected lowlifes from the realm of the free by unleashing an undercover officer tasked with setting traps that snare prey destined for cages.
In conjunction with Operation Castle, apparently run by police in Manchester, Iowa, an undercover officer continues operations and made an arrest. On January 5, 2026, Michael Patrick Wiezorek (52 of Nevada, Iowa) set up a meet with an undercover officer. For the last few weeks, Wiezorek groomed and sent illicit messages to the undercover officer, finally promoting to meet in person for sexual activity. Wiezorek (pictured at top) traveled from Nevada Iowa, secured a hotel room, and traveled to the meet up location with the intent to have sexual activity with a minor.
Manchester Officers cleansed the meet up area and took Wiezorek into custody without any incident. This marks more arrests being made in conjunction with the previous operation, police explained. They say officers are still evaluating cases and working towards more arrests.
According to Chief Benjamin A. Davis, “this continues to prove that under certain circumstances, predators still lurk online. Please mark on your calendars January 22nd, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Manchester Public Library, an opportunity to learn about the dangers of your child’s online safety. This is your opportunity to ask officers questions, see what we are seeing, and have an open dialog with your department about this important issue.”
