Marjorie Reiher, 94, of Charles City, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A funeral service for Marjorie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City with Pastor Dan Larson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday.
Marjorie Ruth Reiher, the daughter of Peter and Verbena (Schrick) Kramer, was born on March 22, 1931, in rural Butler County, Iowa. She graduated from Clarksville High School in 1949. Marjorie met the love of her life, Donald “Don” Reiher, while roller skating in Clarksville. They were united in marriage on June 25, 1955.
Marjorie worked ten years at Oliver, but her most important job was being a homemaker. She was a very hard worker on the farm and a very loving mother. Her life revolved around taking care of her family. She loved dancing with Don, playing cards, decorating loved ones’ graves over Memorial weekend and taking photos to remember the memories together.
Living family members include her children: Steve (Brenda Judy) Reiher, Greg Reiher and Karen Cowsert (Tim); grandchildren: Tiffany (Elijah) Lee, Heather (Jacob Herman) Reiher, Cody (Lindsey) Reiher, Nicole Reiher, and Ashley (Ryan) Popp; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, David and Paul Kramer; sister-in-law, Fern Kramer; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Reiher; and siblings and in-laws: Pete Kramer, Sylivia (Jesse) Lumm, Melvin (Donna) Kramer, Treno (Agnes) Kramer, Vern Kramer, and Don (Janette) Kramer.
