Services will be held at a later date for Ardell Garnjobst, age 95, of Spencer formerly of Milford.
Ardell passed away on January 3, 2026, at the Spencer Hospital.
Ardell Garnjobst was born March 12, 1930, to Gilbert and Ruth (Zimmerman) Garnjobst in Crofton, Nebraska. While still in high school, the family moved to Iowa where he graduated from Everly High School in 1948.
While stationed in Germany with the army, he met the love of his life, Lotty Kostrewa. They were married on April 16, 1955. They moved back to the United States and settled on a farm near Lake Park, Iowa. They then moved to a farm NW of Milford where they farmed until 1970 when they moved into Milford. He eventually worked for Eaton Corp. until his retirement.
Ardell and Lotty enjoyed fishing and camping at Emerson Bay and their yearly trips to Yellow River Forest with the camper.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of almost 71 years, Lotty; his children, David (LuAnn) and Linda (Lee), his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Ruth Garnjobst, son Gordon Garnjobst and sister Lois Roth.
