ELGIN, IOWA – Police raided this Northern Iowa apartment, and once inside, cops nabbed three suspects and illegal substances.
On November 15, 2025, at approximately 7:20pm, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at an apartment on Washington Street in Elgin, IA. After a search of the residence, multiple illegal substances were located.
Michael Henry Palmer, age 59 of Elgin, was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance – 2nd Offense (Aggravated Misdemeanor), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), and Gathering where Controlled Substances are Used (D Felony).

Matthew Lee Palmer, age 33 of Garnavillo, was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance – 3rd/Subsequent Offense (D Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), and Gathering where Controlled Substances are Used (D Felony).

Trevor John Palmer, age 30 of Cedar Rapids, was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance – 1st Offense (Serious Misdemeanor), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), and Gathering where Controlled Substances are Used (D Felony).
All arrestees were transported to the Fayette County Jail and await an initial appearance from a Magistrate Judge.
