North Dakota man charged with boating while intoxicated at Clear Lake

CLEAR LAKE – A North Dakota man has been charged with boating while intoxicated at Clear Lake after a collision on the body of water.

On July 4, 2019 at approximately 1:53 AM, a Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a boat collision on Clear Lake at 5644 South Shore Drive.

A 1997 Cobalt boat operated by Edward Peter Michael Eades, age 23 of Grand Forks, North Dakota, struck a dock and a docked 2014 Skiers Choice Supra SC boat, causing structural damage to the dock and minimal damage to the boat. The boat operator and two other passengers, Alexander D. Stoley, age 23 of Moorehead, Minnesota and Joseph D. Burgmeier, age 23 of Clear Lake, were uninjured in the collision.

Following an investigation at the scene the operator of the boat, Eades was charged with Boating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense, a serious misdemeanor.

That’s the second time some dumbass with a cobalt crashed the docks on the south shore. And he had to come all the way from South Dakota to do it. Thanks Eades, for breaking the 4 year no OWI streak.

they are nice boats! although you may have hit something here. the correlation between rich drunk douchebags and large awesome cobalts is remarkably strong on that particular lake.
