FAYETTE COUNTY – A Northern Iowa woman died from injuries sustained in a head-on vehicle collision on a rural Northern Iowa roadway.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, an ATV accident took place at 10:55 AM on Friday, October 17, 2025. Emergency responders were call to 100th Street near S Avenue, east of Westgate, Iowa, in Fayette county. The Patrol said that 79-year-old Loyce L. Bunn of Westgate, Iowa, was driving a 2011 Chevy Equinox SUV eastbound on 100th Street and crossed the centerline. The SUV hit an oncoming 2018 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by 73-year-old Robert R. Crawford of Maynard, Iowa. Both vehicles came to rest in the center of the roadway.
As a result of the collision, Loyce L. Bunn was killed. Crawford was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries.
