WASHINGTON, D.C. – Republican U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra is entirely miffed about “a singer (who) performed our national anthem at a baseball game in Los Angeles in Spanish” and in order to make sure this travesty never happens again, has introduced a bill to outlaw it.
Feenstra took to the “X” platform on Monday and unleashed on the incident.
Feenstra claimed, “Last month, a singer performed our national anthem at a baseball game in Los Angeles in Spanish.”
Sounds pretty bad, so the tall, white, male lawmaker explained how things should be done.
“Our national anthem should be sung in English,” the former bank insurance manager said.
“It’s why I helped introduce a resolution to ensure that our national anthem is performed in English only.”
This would definitely deter any Spanish-speaker from even attempting to sing the hallowed American national anthem in anything but English, although he did not mention what possible penalties that come with it.
Feenstra has declared himself to be a candidate for Iowa Governor in the 2026 elections.
