Italian manufacturer to establish headquarters in Iowa, receive tax breaks

PERRY, IOWA – A manufacturer of axles, braking systems and suspensions for agricultural and industrial machines will set a headquarters in Iowa, the company recently announced.

A.D.R Axles USA, Inc., headquartered in Milan, Italy, manufactures axles, braking systems and suspensions for agricultural and industrial machines. The company plans to establish its North American headquarters with the construction of a 54,000-square-foot fabrication and assembly facility located on the certified site within the Perry, Iowa Industrial Park. The project represents a $14.3 million capital investment and was awarded tax benefits through Iowa’s High Quality Jobs (HQJ) program.

The HQJ, according to state of Iowa, “provides qualifying businesses assistance to offset some of the costs incurred to locate, expand or modernize an Iowa facility. This flexible program includes loans, forgivable loans, tax credits, exemptions and/or refunds.”

It is expected to create 35 jobs, of which 12 will meet or exceed the qualifying laborshed wage of $31.10 per hour.
