MASON CITY – A down-on-his-luck, self-described grifter and “social media star” traveled to Mason City and shouted profanity in Central Park back on April 5 as part of a “hands off my body” rally organized by Democrats, and after NIT covered his bluster, the struggling leftist delivered two seething voice messages to the newsroom inbox, offering a fresh dose of profane language and tough talk aimed at white men. Mason City democrats offered up a speaker back on April 5 during their downtown rally, who seems to go by the name Matt Gordon and “USMC angry veteran” (pictured at top and at right). He also describes himself as “dirty grifter,” “bearded older man on bullhorn,” “discriminated against,” and others. You can find more descriptions of him on his web site, numerous social media platforms and his at least three GoFundMe campaigns, where he offers quite a sob story about busted AC units, a bad furnace and plumbing, losing his job, all while claiming to be a disabled veteran with a sick pet.
“Dirty grifter” appeared to be somewhat upbeat, nimble and quite healthy during his performance in Mason City back on April 5. He ambled around the town square mouth-breathing f-bombs into his bullhorn, as nearby children seemed to cringe from the venom and spittle he sprayed in their direction. He appeared to lap up the applause, especially from the “females” as he played to their emotions:
“Lots of women have said everything that needs to be said, but for whatever reason this country doesn’t take it seriously, so a white man with a beard gets up and says the exact same fucking thing so here I am!” Gordon blathered. Not exactly Aristotle but profoundly quotable, nonetheless.
NIT noted his remarks in reporting that roughly the same or similar cast of characters are coming back to Central Park on April 19 for yet another rally. While the story did get considerable attention immediately after it was published, it is again picking up steam as Saturday approaches. Our reporting has seemed to “put its hands on” at least a few dozen whiny leftists, bullhorn man included, who suddenly have been inundating social media with comments , insults, and strange presumptions aimed at NIT. Radical democrats’ emotions are running high, and who can blame them, as President Donald Trump figuratively gropes them almost hourly with fresh proclamations of taking America back to when it was allegedly great. Word traveled fast amongst the frothy-mouthed liberals about this basic NIT news coverage, as evidenced by the new round of social media mania, and “dirty grifter” was swept up in the hysteria, twice allowing his emotions to compel him to pick up his phone, locate our newsroom phone number and leave the following messages for all our amusement:

Let’s be honest, you should be thanking the “bearded older man with a blowhorn” because he’s clearly been driving traffic to your sad little website for the first time in years, based on the evident lack of engagement with your other “articles”.
A few things I want to address: most importantly, I find it absolutely appalling for you to use your public forum as a way to openly mock a veteran who is still continuing to fight for our freedoms, even off of the battlefield. What’s even more pathetic is that Matt called you to try to speak with you directly, but instead of having the courage to return his calls, you immediately composed this pile of hot garbage you call an article instead.
Second, as a “journalist”, I’d expect for you to be able to pick up on something called sarcasm when he describes himself as a “dirty grifter”, but clearly it went over your head. Matt does so much work raising money for organizations and those in need, but you obviously don’t want to talk about that, you’d rather twist things to fit into your narrative. You didn’t even bother to take the time to see that the GoFundMe for him was created by SOMEONE ELSE TRYING TO HELP HIM, not by Matt himself.
Also, I hope you’re aware that it’s entirely possible to have other disablements as a vet other than just physical ones, and that his dog is more than just a “pet”, she’s a fully trained service dog that helps him in his daily life.
You have zero integrity as a journalist (and trust me, I used that term extremely loosely), and I hope you have the day you deserve, you absolute troglodyte.

I’ll save publisher, Little Matty, the trouble. The current going rate on a gallon of lobster meat appears to be $1,691.64, calculated by the price of one pound of lobster multiplied by 18. And if you want to know where that multiplier comes from, it’s approximately 1+1/8 pounds per cup, 16 cups to a gallon, therefore 18 lbs. per gallon. And that was an uncomfortable amount of research to be doing.

As a fragile millennial snowflake I know whining when I hear it. I get it, when you feel an injustice has been done against you it makes you want to speak out. Wow Matt is living rent free in your life right now. You do know he is a disabled veteran who served multiple combat tours and that sick dog is a service dog. So maybe if the government stepped up and helped our Veterans instead of forgetting about about them it would be beneficial.
