MASON CITY – This Mason City woman allegedly took her female victim to the ground then drug her by the hair, and now court looms this week after police brought charges.
Mason City police were called to 421 4th Street SE on the afternoon of April 11. Officers arrived at 3:14 PM and investigated an alleged assault and property damage incident. Mason City Chief of Police Jeff Brinkley tells NIT that a suspect, April Willadsen, was charged with assault and criminal mischief after assaulting a guest at the residence and causing damage to the guest’s cell phone. The complaint alleges that Willadsen (pictured at top) pushed the victim to the ground and held her down, dragging the victim by her hair.
Willadsen (pictured at top) was jailed and later posted bond for release. She now awaits a court appearance set for April 18 at 3 PM.
UPDATE: Records show both charges against Willadsen were dropped in June.
NIT reported back in March 2016 that Willadsen was arrested for stealing at Pure Pleasure adult store. She was accused of stealing $29.99 lingerie. However, records show this charge was dropped.
