MASON CITY – A woman was arrested in Mason City Tuesday night after attempting to steal a package from a porch, then returned to the scene with three kids in her car and an intoxicated disposition.
At 4:45 PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, a person reported suspect Antonia Rios Pearce had stolen a package off their porch, about 20 minutes prior to their call to police. The reporting party said she appeared intoxicated, and they thought there was a young child in the car. Officers looked for the car but could not find her initially.
Around 6:00 PM, the same initial reporting party called police to report Pearce had returned. The caller said she was pounding on the door. Officers were nearby and responded, and upon arrival at the scene, found Pearce had driven the car back to the alleged theft scene. Investigation showed that there was not one young child in the car – but actually three children, ages 10, 7, and 6.
Officers did a field sobriety investigation, and Pearce was placed under arrest for the following crimes:
– Second-offense OWI
– Fifth-degree theft (package from the porch)
– Three counts of child endangerment
Pearce was taken to the Cerro Gordo county jail and booked in at 7:44 PM, and she remains there awaiting a court appearance.
Police confirmed that a DHS referral was also made.
Pearce (pictured at top) was busted for drunk driving by Mason City police back on July 8, 2022, and she was guilty. It cost her $1708.20, a week in jail and 2 years of probation, among other penalties.

But, I’m not comparing Trump to Hitler. No. He is not that smart. He’s more Mussolini-grade material. For smarts, he turns to his two top rogues, Elon Musk and Stephen Miller. Those two are fiendishly bright and jack-boot ready.
