OELWEIN – Cops raided a house in this Northern Iowa town and nabbed two suspects in the vicinity of meth and children.
On November 23, 2024, at approximately 9:00 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and Oelwein Police Department executed a search warrant at 201 5th Avenue NE in Oelwein, Iowa.
During a search, illegal substances and items were found and seized.
As a result of the investigation, two suspect were arrested:
60-year-old Mark Allen Shaw of Cedar Rapids was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine 3rd Offense, a Class D Felony.

Also arrested was 31-year-old Natalie Jolene Lapole of Oelwein and charged with two counts of Child Endangerment, aggravated misdemeanors; Possession of Controlled Substance, a serious misdemeanor; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Shaw and Lapole were taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail where they awaited initial appearance.
Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office and Canine Unit.
