MANCHESTER, IOWA – Iowa authorities say this illegal alien from Guatemala was busted working at a cushy job making $78K a year with benefits and a 401K and was then released within hours from jail, and they want to have a word with her.

On June 26, 2024, after a 5-month investigation, Manchester Police and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) executed a search warrant at 604 E Union St in Manchester. It was reported an immigrant from Guatemala was working for a local manufacturer under a fictitious alias. Karla Molina Mendoza was identified as earning almost $78,000.00 in the 2023 calendar year under the name “Martha Garza.” That identity and its personally identifiable information belonging to someone from another state. Medical records and a 401k plan for that alias were found in the home. Three other fake IDs and social security cards were also recovered. Molina Mendoza would receive a $500 hiring bonus to recruit other applicants to the manufacturer. Molina Mendoza was charged with identity theft, forgery, perjury, and possessing fictitious documents. She was released hours later after posting bond.

Karla Molina Mendoza (pictured at top) is currently wanted for failing to appear for her crimes.

For any information on her current whereabouts please contact your local police.

The Manchester Police Department was assisted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, and Iowa State Patrol.
