March 11, 2024
The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, met in regular session pursuant to adjournment. Present: Chairperson Lori Meacham Ginapp, Vice Chairperson Chris Watts, Supervisor Casey Callanan (via phone), and various members of the public.
Chairperson Meacham Ginapp convened the meeting at 10:00 a.m.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to approve today’s agenda. Motion passed unanimously.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to approve the minutes for the March 1, 2024 special session and the March 4, 2024 regular session. Motion passed unanimously.
Public comment session was held.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to approve claims. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to approve the 8-month Class C Retail Alcohol License for Pine Creek Golf Club. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to abate taxes on parcels 07-10-131-002-00 and 07-10-131-001-00 in the amount of $125. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to approve the Sheriff’s monthly report of fees. Motion passed unanimously.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to authorize the Chair to sign Agreement with the City of Rockwell for pavement marking project. Motion passed unanimously.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to approve the bid from Peterson Contractors in the amount of $167,600.73, for project L-A13B39(244)—73-17, RCB Culvert Replacement. Motion passed unanimously.
County Engineer Billings provided an update.
Chairperson Meacham Ginapp opened the public hearing on Drainage District 57 concerning the Engineer’s Report of Appraisers at 10:15 a.m.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to close the public hearing. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to approve the Engineer’s Report of Appraisers. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to adjourn at
10:37 a.m. Motion passed unanimously.
