Pete Emerson, 70, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, at Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls. Visitation for Pete Emerson will be Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 4-7 PM, at Linn’s Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa, 50126. David (Pete) Vernon Emerson was born August, 9th, 1953, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Charles Junior and Imogene (Rogers) Emerson. They moved to Iowa Falls, Iowa, in 1965. Pete graduated from Iowa Falls High School in 1971. He drove semi for ten years. Then he worked for Stinson Excavating for ten years and then purchased the business which became Emerson Excavating. He sold his business in 2022. He married Judith Anne DeMey on October 22, 1993. He enjoyed coffee and breakfast at the Red Rooster; activities with the grandkids; hunting; cards; and pushing snow.

Pete is survived by his wife Judi Emerson; stepdaughter Megan (Dan) Miller; and grandchildren Tate and Denver; his mother Imogene Emerson; sisters Becky Thompson and Lisa Riebkes; brother Tim (Peggy) Emerson; mother in-law Gwen DeMey; sisters in-law Jodi (Mark) Head, Darthy Emerson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Emerson, father in-law Robert DeMey, niece Katie Riebkes, brother James Emerson, and brother in-law Kent Thompson.
