OSAGE – An Osage man convicted of first-degree murder in the death of Angela Bradbury will serve decades in prison for his crime.

On Friday, August 19, 2022, agents with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), members of the Iowa DCI Criminalistics Lab, and Deputies with the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office executed several search warrants and conducted interviews as they continued to investigate the disappearance and death of Angela Bradbury of rural Cerro Gordo county.

Search warrants were served in both Osage, Iowa and St. Ansgar, Iowa in an attempt to obtain additional evidence in the case. Upon completion of the execution of the search warrants, Nathan James Gilmore of Osage, Iowa, was charged with murder in the first degree.  He was later convicted of the crime.

For the murder of Angela Bradbury, Gilmore was sentenced to 50 years in prison, with a mandatory minimum of 35 years before he is eligible for parole, and must pay restitution to Bradbury’s family.
