IOWA CITY – A Waterloo woman was killed in an Iowa City traffic accident over the weekend.
At 10:54 PM on Saturday, May 27, 2023, Iowa City police were called to the intersection of Court Street and Seventh Avenue for a serious crash. One person, 22-year-old Jennifer Russel of Waterloo, was killed and two others suffered minor injuries.
The Patrol says Russel was operating a 2017 Chevy Malibu and entered the intersection, where she struck by up to two vehicles operated by teen drivers. Both of those driver were hurt and transported to hospitals.
