DES MOINES – Admiral Mike Franken announced he will debate Charles Grassley in the current campaign for Iowa’s U.S. Senate seat.
“Pleased to announce I’ve accepted two debate invitations with Sen. Chuck Grassley on KCCI and Iowa Press, October 4th and October 6th, 2022,” Admiral Franken, a Democrat, said. “Looking forward to discussing the important issues facing Iowa and the nation.”
Mike Franken is a retired three-star admiral and was born and raised in NW Iowa. Charles Grassley is 88-years-old. He is seeking an 8th term in the Senate.
