WAVERLY – A deceased man was found floating in the Cedar River at Waverly, police say.
On Monday, August 31, 2020 at 8:32 AM, members of the Waverly Police and Fire Department recovered the body of a man floating in the Cedar River north of the Bremer Avenue dam. Police say the deceased male has been positively identified by a family member, however, his identity will not be released until all notifications are completed.
The deceased was transported to the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation.
