WAUKEE, IOWA – With a trip to the state tournament on the line, the Mason City High baseball team dropped a very close road game to Waukee, 6-5, Wednesday night.
Mason City led 2-0 after the first inning and 4-3 heading into 5th. But, the #7 Waukee Warriors rallied in the fifth inning to go ahead 6-4 and did not relinquish the lead.
Waukee gets its eighth state tournament appearance.
