KEOKUK COUNTY – A man died after a car struck a deer and sent the furry beast through the air and then through his windshield, where it struck and killed him.
The accident took place on the evening of February 19, 2020, on Highway 92 west of Sigourney, Iowa. A 2016 Toyota Camry was westbound on Highway 92 when it struck a deer and sent it hurling through the air. The furry beast crashed through the windshield of a Nissan driven by 45-year-old Donald E Burdick of North English, Iowa. Burdick was killed as a result of the accident.

I can tell you we had a relative whose vehicle was hit in the side by a deer in South Mason City. All of the airbags went off in the vehicle and there was damage to the frame. The insurance company scraped the vehicle. A 22K vehicle scraped out. This was not a car, it was a SUV and a sturdy vehicle.
The amazing thing was after the insurance junked the vehicle and paid the claim the vehicle was seen driving on the streets. It still had the dent in the drivers door but otherwise was running fine. Someone took a junk vehicle, replaced the airbags, straightened the frame and sold the vehicle. The loser was the insurance company and eventually the public who pays a higher premium.
The only ones making out in this is the lockers that bend these guys over to process the rotten mess… Oh and they all go to the best one…

The STUPID DNR caused it by not letting the herd get thinned and ultimately it will be what gets us rid of these for us (THANKS BY THE WAY)… Then they will all be crying their eyes out over no money to pay these bafoons when they can’t sell a hunting license for something that is extinct… By the way the meat is rotten anyway… If it was any good you think these farmers would be raising cattle…
