Scholten wants King out of Congress.

SIOUX CITY — A 5th generation Iowan, J.D. Scholten today launched his bid for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District, currently held by Steve King, by debuting an announcement video narrated by Kevin Costner. Tonight, he will host a kick off rally in his hometown of Sioux City followed by a swing through the district.

J.D. will continue the momentum of his people-powered grassroots campaign that brings all people together to tackle the challenges before us. His campaign rejects the use of divisive labels and hatred that fuel violence and drive us apart, and is focused on building an inclusive, safe community for all.

J.D. Scholten said: “We’re building a people-powered campaign that is focused on meeting with, listening to, and earning the trust and support of voters in all 39 counties in Iowa’s 4th district. This time, we’re going to get the job done.

“Too many Iowan families feel like they’re getting kicked in the dirt, suffering from an economy and a government that just doesn’t have their interests at heart. We need a system that works for all people — not just special interests and those who are lucky enough to be at the top. That’s exactly why we’re in this fight: to fix our healthcare system, fight for an economy for all, and secure our democracy. The 4th district deserves a voice in Washington that understands these issues and will fight day in and day out to revitalize our rural communities.”

J.D. Scholten will hold a kickoff campaign rally tonight, Monday, August 5, in Sioux City at 6pm in an open parking lot (1214 4th St) and attend a rally tomorrow night, Tuesday, August 6, in Ames at 9pm at Mother’s Pub (2900 West St). The rallies are free and open to the public and the media.

Background: Born in Ames and raised in Sioux City, J.D. Scholten is a 5th generation Iowan. J.D. served as the 2018 Democratic nominee against Rep. Steve King in Iowa’s 4th District, earning nationwide attention for his people-powered grassroots campaign that fell just 3 points short in a district that Donald Trump won by 27 points in 2016. He played baseball at Morningside College and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After college, he pursued a professional baseball career and pitched in 7 different countries. He then worked as a paralegal, specializing in Intellectual Property and trials law, but found his true passion in helping others through pro-bono cases. He later launched his congressional campaign and continues to be a powerful voice for rural, working, and underserved communities in Iowa.

In a 2018 election, Steve King was re-elected to Congress over J.D. Scholten 157,221 to 146,698.

Before anyone accepts this guy as ‘the answer’ because Kevin Costner endorses him..remember, the Democrats are the party of entitlement programs, Affirmative Action, slavery reparations, open borders, and AOC.

Someone needs to get King out of office though as he’s been stripped of almost all of his power in Washington DC due to his public comments and he has limited power to help Iowans. Even Republicans should put someone else forward as he cannot do the job Iowans sent him to do anymore.

like parkland they could have told the fbi six times and nobody woulda done shit. best thing you can do is teach your kids to make the occasional effort to express kindness to those everyone else rejects shits on and makes fun of. seriously not treating those people like shit when everyone elkse does, maybe giving them the occasional candy bbar or whats up how have you been is the best insurance, maybe when the wierdo snaps they remember the person who was occasionally kind and never mean and they dont shoot you? be kind stay alive, it seems like these freaks that pull this shooting shit are classic reject nerds and losers you just gotta change with the times, no longer do you push strange kids into lockers spit on them and call them fa*s hell i wouldnt even tease anyone anymore. all to often these geeks and freaks snap and shoot. better to leave them alone and utter a few kind words or actions even if its purely self preservation.

Your comment reads as if you put a lot of thought into the blame game. Think about it.
