MASON CITY – State Senator Amanda Ragan of Mason City will help shape the work of the 2019 session of the Iowa Legislature through participation on several Iowa Senate committees.

Senator Ragan will serve as the ranking member of the Health and Human Services Budget Subcommittee. She will also be a member of the Agriculture Committee, Appropriations Committee, Human Resources Committee, Rules and Administration Committee, and Veterans Committee.

“By listening and working with every member of a committee, you can often make a difference well before legislation comes to an up or down vote on the floor of the Senate,” said Ragan. “My committee assignments offer plenty of opportunities for me to advocate for the people and communities in my district.”

The Iowa Legislature opens on January 14, 2019.

  1. career politician who only cares about her pay check – funded by tax payers and does not have your issues at heart. you voted for her now you have to live with it.

  2. Well let’s see , how can we gouge the Iowan workers and schools to pay more to Illegal immigrants so they will illegally vote in more communists democrats.

  3. Bipartisan ? Don’t give us that BS. The socialist party calling themselves democrats have already proved the fact that they are evil bastards and hell bent on destroying America.

  4. its such a comfort looking at that smile and knowing she will control the purse strings to my money. Helps me sleep real good
