MASON CITY – Current Cerro Gordo County Deputy Louie Bram is pleased to announce that he will be running for county auditor in the November 6, 2018 general election. In just over a week, Bram has gathered over 400 nominating signatures, and will be running for the vacated office as an Independent candidate. The 44 year old Bram has lived nearly his entire life in Cerro Gordo County, and has spent the last 11 years serving the public as a peace officer. Bram currently resides with his wife, Christy, and their three children eight miles southeast of Mason City in Bath Township.

Prior to working as a peace officer, Bram served as the pastor of the Rockwell Baptist Church for ten years. He credits the Lord Jesus Christ for every success in his life. Bram states, “I am humbled by this opportunity and the overwhelming support I have received from family and friends. What our county needs is an auditor whom the public trusts to uphold the duties of the office as defined by the Iowa Code. He must be a humble and teachable leader uninfluenced by partisan bias. He also must possess the requisite people and leadership skills to fairly and kindly manage the office. I believe the managerial and personal skills I have developed as a pastor and my intimate knowledge of our current county government as a deputy have prepared me for this office.”
