MESERVEY, IOWA – A Cerro Gordo county man wanted since 2013 on warrants connected to a felony domestic assault was caught this week, loaded with drugs.
Cerro Gordo deputies went to 334 3rd Street in Meservey on the evening of April 10. There, they encountered the resident, 33-year-old William Carl Kreitlow, who was wanted on a warrant that originated in 2013 in Franklin county in connection to a felony domestic assault charge. As deputies arrested Kreitlow, allegedly, at least three illegal substances were found, including tramadol, marijuana and methamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia.
Kreitlow was taken to jail and then later sent to the Hardin county jail to answer on the Franklin county warrant.
Nothing like hiding in the wide open.
Well, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s department is completely inept. They would rather patrol the urban areas which already have their own law enforcement departments than venture out into the rural areas of the county patrolling and upholding the law. If you aren’t on a paved highway or in the cities of Clear Lake or Mason City, you will probably never see them until after a crime has been reported to their office.
