FOREST CITY – A Britt man was arrested in Forest City and charged with felony drug crimes.
On December 22, 2016 at 1:40 PM, Forest City police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of O Street and North 11th Street. After an investigation, the driver of the stopped vehicle, Robert Awbo Hakieem Yarbrough, age 33 of Britt, Iowa, was arrested. He was taken to the Winnebago county jail and charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver and driving under suspension.
A few days later, a judge ordered Yarbrough to undergo a substance-related disorder exam. Yarbrough posted a surety bond on December 27 and was released from jail, pending a court date.
In 2013, Yarbrough was guilty of possession of drug paraphernalia in Hancock county and ordered to pay $210.00 in fines and court fees. Records show he has made no payments on that balance, so far.
